The 1756-TBCH is a removable terminal block for the 1756 I/O modules and it is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The terminal block is a 36-pin cage with the standard housing. The power dissipation of the module is 6.19 watts and the operating temperature for the device is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The 1756-TBCH has a weight of 1 kilogram. The device draws a current of 1.2 Amps at 5 Volts DC and 2.5 mA at 24 Volts DC. The module connects with the I/O module and users should connect no more than 2 wires on a single terminal of the device. Users can connect the 1756-TBCH in any of the ControlLogix chassis and the removable terminal block is required for field side wiring.
The 1756-TBCH can be used for various applications which include high-speed digital processing to process control. While connecting the modules with wires, it is recommended to use a stranded copper wire which can withstand a temperature of 90 degrees Celsius and with a gauge which is greater than 1.2 millimeters. When making the connections to the terminal block, make sure to follow the instructions for connecting the wires and the block as mentioned in the installation manual of the device by the manufacturer. This is essential to ensure the correct operation of the device and for the safety of the equipment. While inserting the wires and tightening the screws, make sure to tighten them to the specified torque rating to prevent breaking the screw due to excessive pressure.
